I can't really think of anything more magical than unicorns, but, as with all living things, even they poop...probably rainbows...
Thus the beauty that is life, and all the bullshit in between.
Our life is no harder than anyone else's, but I like to look at things in a humorous light, so this is my outlet to do that. I hope being here makes you smile, at least a little. If so, I can die happy. Or, whatever.
Jack (3rd child) drew this rather accurate portrayal of our family.
For your viewing pleasure, I give you, the Guymons:
My life can be accurately summed up in one word:
I don't always have my act together, and I will be the first to admit that I probably should have gotten a full mental health assessment before being allowed to procreate, but I try my best to keep things as smooth as possible for these four monkeys I gave life to. I owe it to them to be the healthiest and happiest version of myself I can be. Some days that means taking a 3 hour nap to recover from the lack of sleep the night before. Other days it's a glass or 4 of wine and trashy reality TV AFTER said 3 hour nap...I like to keep things spontaneous.
(That's a lie. I am the most predictable human being on planet earth...true story)
If you suffer from mental illness please know you are not alone. There are many of us who are in the same boat, and when one of us gets thrown overboard, we reach in and pull one another out before the ocean swallows them up completely. It is my hope that this blog can be a beacon of hope for someone who happens upon it...at the very least I welcome messages and emails, so please reach out if you need to.
For all of you out there caught in the throws of motherhood like me, welcome! I am so glad you are here.
Our kids are their own traveling circus, and we now have a service dog to complete the act, so, it's LEGIT.
Welcome to our craziness.
